00BridgeMountain

This is the track recorded by my GPS as we hiked out to Bridge Mountain. The hike starts on the right at the mouth of Gifford Canyon. About 0.8 miles up the canyon we climbed a 700 foot slickrock ridge onto a sandy plateau. Crossing over the plateau we skirted the east end of an east-west running canyon then dropped down into it from the north. The east-west canyon empties into Hepworth Wash where we turned north until we got to the north east side of Bridge Mountain. Climbing up another ridge to a notch in the saddle brought us to the north west face of the mountain where we traversed around to a section requireing some technical climbing. Another traverse brought us to the arch.
